ROWING
Rowing was introduced for the first time at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.The sport is open to male and female athletes and is divided into four boat classes. In all four events, races are over 1,000 M. “Adaptive” rowing implies that the equipment is “adapted” to the athlete rather than the sport being “adapted” to the athlete.At the London 2012 Games, 96 athletes competed in four medal events.
